Packers Leg-Whack Jets 9-0 - 1st Place NFC North 5-3Somehow some-way Packers able to out-last Jets on 3 made FG's and whole lot of bending but no breaking by the defense that gets a shut-out in New York. Yah Baby!!!!! Baby!!! Besides some twittered references to loose squirrels in the back yard having more smarts than Pack head coach Mike McCarthy, a judgement with-held for the moment, a win after all, is a win, hell, I'm ramblin', Packers beat the Jets in NY and shit, hell, damn, I'm ramblin'. Beer is good. Stone IPA is great. Packers win and I'm going to leave it at that... Charles Woodson, Tramond Williams, INT. Clay Matthews, Brandon Chillar, SACK. Mason Crosby! None the less, big smile on my face and almost too stunned to comment. Definitely too stunned to be coherent. BeerKid - Always Pack 4 Life! |

Have been a Packer Backer since 65, and he is the single most villified member of the organization in that time, I won't say he is flawless, human afterall, but considering all the character assassanation, much of a distinctly tea party flavor, I would credit him with giving us the possibility to remain standing for at least awhile, and in a reasonable injury year, to be close to awesome. Cowboys WR Drew Pearson was out there, being shadowed by Vikings CB Nate Wright. Both turned to the outside to follow the flight of the ball, Pearson cutting under Wright. But Wright would slip on the frozen turf. Nevertheless, he seemed to be in position to stop the pass. As the ball came down, Pearson pushed off of Wright and caught the pass, trapping it against his hip at the 5-yard line. As Pearson strode into the end zone, free safety Paul Krause hurdled over Wright, screaming at field judge Armen Terzian for the interference call that was never made. And an orange whizzed by Pearson at the goal line. For his wonderful effort, Terzian was struck in the head and cut open by a whiskey bottle thrown from the stands. The old Met crowd, celebrating another Super Bowl just a moment before, was now quiet, seething in anger and gaping in stunned disbelief. fatoak ______________________________________ Well, at least the ones from Letterman are nearly funny. Went back and watched that Moss end zone clip again and i admit it is not precisely as i recall. I can deal with the mooning part, i know why he did it,(not at all a fan of our apparent "tradition" of mooning the opposing teams bus) my memory had him taking it a disgusting level higher.I am sure most of the overserved who can not wear it people doing it would be running for their lives if they had to deal with the guys being mooned straight up. Also while I have been strongly in favor of Brett being booed loudly in Lambeau while in purple, laying it on him like that when he left the field the other day, way uncool, should have been one final standing ovation. And if u doubt that I wholly sided with TT 3 years ago, would that my posts of that time on this board could be called up. One sign at the Beau had it right, "Respect our number 4". Not when its easy to. Always. And to paraphrase a biblical passage, though i am beholden to no religion in particular, but a loving God very certainly,as regards doubtless jackass assessments of Brett's alleged character, Judge not lest ye be judged. ray

Diggin these highlights. Did anyone see him in preseason? It is no accident that TT has the presence of mind to draft guys who are familiar with Green Bay type weather, and keeping mindful of not drafting guys, even if talented, who will not be happy in Green Bay, which is probably lots of guys. Where are these character assassanation clowns who chastised TT for not grabbing every high price, character questionable guy like the one on the Redskins, or Marshawn Lynch? And omg the flack he took for not picking up Randy Moss at a time when his character was HIGHLY questionable and he had wiped his freakin ass on our south end zone goal post, that is irrelevant? Do younger people not know the signifigance of that end zone to us? Media have been talking about mooning, it was way beyond that, I kind of like the guy and love his talent, but it was full blown disgusting and uber disrespectful, I hope Ray Nitschke gets a free bitchslap in the next world. Still waiting for where management bears the first element of responsibility in Bretts departure, but u won't find me kicking this Packer savior when he is down. You might have 2 or 3 years ago but damn sure not right now.I go back to Bart and Ray at 54, and Brett remains the single most entertaining Packer I have seen, now is the time to help him up. ray brettman ______________________________________

Let me temporarily interrupt this bye-week to bring you the conclusion to last week.... Packers KO Cowboys 45-7 1st Place NFC North 6-3and we got their coach Wade Wilson fired!!! Surprising Fins fans even more than cheeseheads. We are thinking loyalty, They are thinking bad knee. The Minnesota Vikings Have Found Themselves Squarely In The Middle Of A Storm One Created By The Players And The Coach A State Which Has Now Become The Norm Coach Chilly Somehow Keeps Things Stirred Up So Much So That His Job Is On The Line What In The Heck Does He Think He's Doing? As He Watches His Team Begin To Unwind Then Someone Had The Bright Idea Of Returning Randy Moss To The Vikings But That Gamble Didn't Really Pay Off To Anybody's Happiness Or Liking Even After Last Week's Win Which Was The Biggest Comeback In Vikings History The Locker Room Is Filled With Rumblings Showing That This Team Is As Unhappy As Can Be Last Week Brett Favre Led "His" Team Back From A Deficit Of Fourteen Points It Took Playing With All Stops Pulled To Make Them Quit Stinking Up The Joint Despite The Fact That The Vikings Had High Hopes And Are Holding Onto Postseason Plans A Sunday Loss To The Chicago Bears Will Change Them To Also-Rans In Days Past The Dallas Cowboys Were One Of The Green Bay Packers Most Disliked Foes As For Several Years They Met In The Playoffs Without Much Doubt As To How Those Games Would Go Despite The Record The Packers Would Bring It Really Never Seemed To Matter As The Cowboys Would Push Them Around While Filling Their Ears With "Cowboy Chatter" |

There's only so much a couple of Packers fans
(that would be BeerScout and myself) can do to the balance of NFL
Karma while rooting for duh Bears to beat up on the hapless Vikings.
But we did it. Constantly using an actual Vikings lighter to fire up
our small sacrificial fires to appease all the decree's from the
Football Gods, somehow, someway, the now 1st place NFC North Bears
humiliated the now 3-6 Vikes by the final score of 27-13. Yeah,
yeah, the Bears hold the tie-breaker on the Pack, and I'm not even
sure the Packers would qualify for a playoff berth today, but
BeerScout and I got the result we wanted. Vikings tanking to the
bottom of the division. BeerKid - Always Pack 4 Life! |

Why the Green Bay Packers Fans of course! E Gunn Hey E Gunn, I know I know... I didn't know what to do earlier today either, although after listening to a little Grunge Machine for 20 minutes, I am ready to head to the bar to start drinking heavily and start accosting some Vikqueen fans... BK _______________________________________________ How 'bout them cowboys ! That was as much or more fun than the 45 -17 game in the 90's ! SignBoy, I like to see aggressive play calling, too... but I think you're being kind of a 'glass half empty' type guy. That's a game the Pack can build on. BTW, you could probably express yourself better without the raunchy stuff. Scott of Chippewa Falls _______________________________________________ Sign boy Normally vulgar language doesn't bother me, I can use it with the best of them. But when it just shows a lack of intelligence and the writer just doesn't know any other words to use it becomes boring to say the least. It appears that your lack of language skills is only exceeded by your lack of football knowledge. dfarmer Hey dfarmer, although you use the common sense, explain your facts Speak Out section of this blog, many of us prefer to repeatedly over-use the often alcohol-induced Spew Off portion in explaining our hearts desire, and Packer Palace wouldn't have it any other way... BK _______________________________________________ Now, McCarthy, you know you have no balls, let alone hairy one. Just look at your playcalling. As vanilla as they come. Especially in the second half. ALWAYS playing not to win. With the exception of the Cowboys game (because the playing not to win is still better than the Cowboys D) you have done everything in your power to lose those games. We can not ground and pound. We do not have a RB that can do that. Kuhn is good, but against a good D he will struggle, and Jackson is a scat back, not a power runner. I understand that you would love to have me 'suck your hairy bean bag' and all but until you show me that you can put a 60 minute game together I will refrain from kissing your ass. Show me something creative, I mean, not like putting the footballs in the freezer to get ready for a cold game. Something better than that. Hey, I have an idea, why don't you stick with your first half game plan in the second half. Tweak it a little, but stick to it. None of this hey we can run the clock out on the whole second half with our 'dynamic run game'. I am telling ya, if I know you are gonna run it up the middle three plays in a row, the other team knows as well. Thanks Coach for the offer to suck your bags I hope you are listening. Stop being a dumb ass. Fan of the Packers, not you. Go PACK GO! Speak Out Spew Off...
Packers Smack Down Vikqueens 31-3What's that sound I hear. What's That? Sweeeeep, Sweeep. Yep, I thought I heard the sound of a broom sweeping away the season's series between the Packers and Vikings. Bwah Hah Hah Hahah Hah! This is what all Packers fan were wishing for today, but most didn't expect it, a win, sure, a total beat down that might end up with the 2nd coach getting fired in as many Packer wins over once considered rivals. Precedent backs it up, the last time the Vikes suffered a tragic beat down, 33-3 to the Jaguars in 2001, Denny Green got fired!!! Is Brad Childress next? Wade Phillips of the Cowboys didn't think so, Packer Beat Down, and he was gone, gone, gone. Packers 7-3 and tied with duh Bears for 1st place, and Vikqueens fall to 3-7 with only the 2-8 Lions keeping them out of the bottom of the cellar. Update: There's one thing I liked about how the Packers coaching staff ran their game plan, this comes from the Reggie White days, where it got cemented into my brain as good strategy. I, as a coach, would always kick-off to start the game on the off chance that my team would have the ball last before halftime, and then get the ball 1st to start the 2nd half. So what happened yesterday in Minnesota? Coach McCarthy actually deferred after winning the opening coin toss (1st time in his life, apparently) thinking his defense led by D-Coordinator Dom Capers and LB Clay Matthews was up to the task of opening the game on the field first. Vikings go 3 and out and the Pack get the ball back on a punt. The Packers had the ball last in the 1st half, TD to James Jones (thanks to the INT by Tramon Williams). Packers opening drive in the 2nd half, TD to Greg Jennings. It's a great concept, Kick-off and make the opposing team go 3 and out, and then score twice when the situation gives you back-to-back drives. Packers took control of the game and never gave the Vikes a chance to comeback. BeerKid - Always Pack 4 Life! |

________________________________________________ I have been through some downs and many ups in my 50 years as a Packer fan and have never been prouder. We, as Packer fans, should feel blessed and privileged. The Packers are a well-run organization from top to bottm and their players seem to be high character guys. The Pack does not have the locker room problems we see that other teams have. Let's give TT and MM a lot of credit. TT has made some bold moves and that have paid off and he has drafted talented, young, high-character players and the team has great depth. MM has kept his team together through many injuries and some tough losses. His even keel demeanor and faith in his players, starters and subs, has kept this team on the right path. You can tell the players respect him and play hard for him. Corky DeYulio of the Geneva, NY Packer Backers ________________________________________________ Anyone else notice something different about Favre’s jersey? I know it’s only anecdotal, but do you think the Viqueens are trying to sabotage Brett’s junk investigation? http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4144/5198359349_7a6df0066f_m.jpg His helmet seemed a little fishy as well... http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4106/5198964894_a89311f137_m.jpg Jim ________________________________________________ Dear Mike, Thank you for finally putting a full game plan together. You saved your best for the queens and I appreciate it. Good luck next week with the Falcons. By the way, I still think you suck, but you don't suck as much as you did last week. Yours in Packer faithfulness, Hamilton PS - Could you mention to Ted the next time that you talk to him that I think he should cut Justin Harrell? Thanks. GO PACK GO ________________________________________________ Our Defense rose to the occasion; the “Humpty-Dump” was just about empty (except for our loyal PACKER fans) by the end of the 3rd Quarter. "Bitch Slapped?" You know it!!! Slow
start for the PACKER O, but the end result was sooooooooooooo F’n
AWESOME!!!I’m going to spend the day listening to Da-ViQueen Whine Line …. AGAIN, Shit I may even call in and try to save Chilly’s job. Good for us, bad for them. GO PACK GO!!! PACKER PAUL - Minneapolis, MN. ________________________________________________ Hello BK and Packer Nation!!!!!!!!!!!Hell ya sweet win...more proof that 12 is 3 times what 4 is. I love seeing those purple pukes sucking...ooops I mean swallowing. Brent is getting what he deserves. I will bet any one on here a hundred bucks he doesn't finish the season as the starting QB. The Pack is hitting stride at a great time. They have battled the most injuries in the NFL. Next week is going to be huge. GO PACK GO. Oh by the way the refs totally fucked my Huskers, can't wait to be in the Big TEN. mellonhead ________________________________________________ That game was everything all of us hoped it would be. Defense held up, made the plays they needed to, and the offense is finally beginning to look as we expected it would. How about a shout-out to the coaching staff for this one? Capers looked like a genius today. He was bringing some unique blitzes with Woodson and Collins. Now we can sit back and watch the Vikings sink and implode and still not get a new stadium. Heck, most of the team is probably wondering why on Earth BF hasn't been benched yet. That and they're waiting for Chilly to join Wade in the unemployment line. And now that that's over with, onward to Atlanta! Gonna be a tough one. Mike ________________________________________________ WOOO HOOO! Sweep sweep SWEET ! Joe from Ohio ________________________________________________ Oh man, was that win SWEET!! My 4-month-old son was baptized this morning so we had the family out to the house to celebrate. Including my poor, misguided in-laws from MN. They were pretty quiet most of the day! Ham dinner, beer, happy kids and a PACKERS WIN!! Doesn't get any better than this. This just further proves my theory that God is, indeed, a Packers fan. GO PACK!! Packer Momma ________________________________________________ 31 unanswered points... I love it. Way to go Scott Wells! All the reports of the vikings fans jumping ship are a hoot! Life preservers are in big demand at the metrodump again! Boz ________________________________________________Just too excited to write anything clever. Congrats to Rodgers, Jennings, the rest of the offense, the defense, and special teams. That was a complete game. Way to go Pack! Now I await the news for the benching and retirement of Favre and the Firing of Childress. Can you say LA Vikings in 2015!!!The only thing better is another Superbowl win for the Pack and a beat down of the Bears as they still suck in December at home. Cutler will help us out there. Let's continue to roll baby!!! Wow, what a great time for a Packer Fan stuck in MN for now...:0) Go Pack Go!!! KevPack in MN ________________________________________________ 31-3 yep, a BIG 31 to a measly wee 3.....31 unanswered points ,a beating in their own back yard !!! didn't the Old Feller look beaten from the start. BK ________________________________________________ So, last week Packer fans took the side of the Bears over the Vikings. Guess what's happened? Yep, Bears fans are now rooting for Minny. Go figure. KEG MAN ________________________________________________ anybody else been on nfl.com? does anybody other than packers fans talk football? seems to me that all the comments are angry fans of losing teams, alot of these angry "fans" shouldn't even be concerned with the pack.......but they are, and they could stand a good beating, that's all I have to say about that. Pack 27-queens 10 LET'S GO PACK!!!!!!!!!!! by the way, the rockwood lodge thing and the comment about the viqueens being the official stay at home partner of the superbowl are great.......I saw those and laughed for about half an hour, my wife thought I might be going insane. vikingcrusher ________________________________________________ In the midst of all the Bears and Vikings trash talk, it's easy to forget that GB has three division rivals. Except you never hear much from the fans of that third team. Mike ________________________________________________ Sweet Packer site!!!!!! Len H. (Richland Center) ________________________________________________ That's ok. For Bears fans, Brett has never been anything but the enemy. Dolphins lose 16-0 and Bears take first place in the North. You do remember what happened when the Pack played the fish? gUrt Hey gUrt, sure I remember, the Pack played the Super Bowl Bound Dolphins and duh Bears got the 3rd String QB Short Week Dolphins. The Bears Still Suck! But they have the Packers chasing them for the NFC North Crown. As for BF, he's only hated cuz he's playing for a hated rival. When he finally quits, Packer fans will ease up considerably on the spewing in his direction. At least, I will anyway... maybe. BK ________________________________________________ LOVE this week's Rockwood BeerKid! Nice creative work as always! #66 Chica
________________________________________________More great moments in Packer history:
1985: Packers beat the Vikings 20-17 and 27-17, then get swept by the Bears 23-7 and 16-10, who go on to win Super Bowl XX. 2007: Packers finish 13-3 and go to the NFC Championship. Despite this, they lose to the Bears 27-20 and 35-7. Hey gUrt, ha ha great ones, classic duh Bears fan interrupting during Vikqueen-Packer week. Do them a favor last Sunday, help them beat the Vikes to get in 1st place, and they turn on you immediately. Yeah I know, it's a long way to that last game of the year matchup between the Packers and duh Bears but why wait, duh Bears play the Dolphins tonight, and well, Go Fish Go!!! duh Bears may give up 1st place in the NFC North before even a full week goes by. BK ________________________________________________ Agree with Herm's comment, as with most of my Packer friends here in my area north of HWY 8, lol. "Our" G&G 4-Favre is WAY more scarier in a game we have to play the next Sunday AGAINST him, AT THE DOME, than the last game of the season with Cutler trying to pull 'magic-outta-his-butt' @ Lambeau !!!! I was a (on-the-verge-of-vomit) FIB ROOTER last Sun too) Call him Traitor, Gunslinger, Drama Queen, and all the other nametags --- this SUNDAY is the game I worry about !!! Wow, the 3-7 Minnesota Vikings fired head coach Brad Childress!!! Bango Boom-Boom! Yes moments ago, the team formerly known as the Green Bay Packers, and now soon to be known as the Green Bay Coach-Killers succeeded in getting their 2nd head coach fired (previously Wade Phillips - Dallas Cowboys) in as many games. Bwah Hahah Haha Hah - The 2010 destruction of the Minnesota Vikings continues at record pace and very little pleases this Green Bay Packers fan more, errh, I mean very little pleases this 7-3 Green Bay Coach-Killers fan more... Spew Off Speak Out...
![]() Minnesota Judge gives 7 year old right to decide custody... Ah, those liberal Minnesota judges. A seven year old boy was at the center of a county courtroom drama yesterday when he challenged a court ruling over who should have custody of him. The boy had a history of being beaten by his parents and the judge initially awarded custody to his aunt, in keeping with child custody law and regulation requiring that family unity be maintained to the highest degree possible. The boy surprised the court when he proclaimed that his aunt beat him more than his parents and he adamantly refused to live with her. When the judge then suggested that he live with his grandparents, the boy cried and said that they also beat him. After considering the remainder of the immediate family and learning that domestic violence was apparently a way of life among them, the judge took the unprecedented step of allowing the boy to propose who should have custody of him. After two recesses to check legal references and confer with the child welfare officials, the judge granted temporary custody to the Minnesota Vikings, whom the boy firmly believes are not capable of beating anyone. On a different note, GB-Atlanta will be the Fox national game this week and no one outside Minny and DC sees Queens-Skins. I'm lovin' it. Clay the Barbarian Hey Clay the Barbarian, I lovin' it too... a great place to see it represented is at The506.Com NFL TV Maps. Although, it looks like Wichita just changed away to that other game (MN-Wash) so it doesn't look quite as cool as it did originally. SCHRADES Hey Schrades, gUrt is just a very recent duh Bears troll who decided to pipe in and offer some ill will to the Pack during Vikqueens week. Not to be confused with the duh Bears fan article mentioned, although, both are superior at being confused duh Bears fans.. BK _____________________________________________ Just wondering, is gurt a "special" person? vikingcrusher Hey vikingcrusher, I don't know if gUrt duh Bears fan falls into the "special" category or not, he is sharing a computer with another who posts here... BK _____________________________________________ Aw, you beat me to it. Looks like I'm not the only person who came up with the idea that GB can get Singletary fired. Don't forget that he's an ex-Bear. But the first order of business is Atlanta. A road game in a loud dome with a team that's on the verge of winning their division won't be easy. How does a Packers-Jets Super Bowl sound? Mike Hey Mike, Singletary losing his job with Niners after the Packers game is a possible outcome, but there's also Jim Schwartz with impatient Detroit, and Lovie Smith with duh Bears if the Pack win the NFC North while eliminating duh Bears from the playoffs completely. BK _____________________________________________ Hey BeerKid, regarding your "kickoff strategy" thoughts - I have always preferred when the Packers elect to receive (or lose the toss and end up receiving), because I prefer to have them get first possession after halftime. So when the game started that way yesterday I said "yes!". So it's funny that you mentioned this. I don't have any data on it (it would be interesting to find some), but it just seems to me like the Pack fares better when this is the case. Wow. This season just keeps getting better and better. I could not be more proud of these men. There is not one single turd or malcontent among them - just good quality guys who appear to be getting more and more focused heading into the stretch. The chemistry among them seems great! Possibly "super" in fact! :-) variation on the German term "schadenfreud": Schadenfavre: n.--deriving pleasure from the misfortunes of a former Green Bay quarterback who should have known how to bow out gracefully. GO PACK!! #66 Chica Hey Chica, it was easy to develop the kick-off to start the game strategy because of Reggie White and that Packer defense, doesn't happen everytime, but the chance to have the ball on back to back drives sandwiched around halftime is an opportunity that I would think every team would take. BK _____________________________________________ That Bears writer missed a few important details in his article: He forgot to mention the likelihood of Green Bay (or any other team for that matter) committing 18 penalties in two games against the same opponent in the same season... Yeah right, after how many in the last three games? And as ugly as that first meeting was, if James Jones doesn't fumble, the cheese still finds a way to win. I hope Woodson picks that loser Cutler off four times in one game too! The Bears have, do and always will suck. ![]() See you at Lambeau... In January!! We win at Philly for the first time since the world was black and white. We shut out the NY Jerks, for our first ever road win against those losers. Then we get Bum Jr. and Mr. Noodle fired. Hey, I be we can get Mike Singletary fired, too. And maybe even Lovie if the Bears lose out like they easily could. Can't wait for the video! Ruppert _____________________________________________ My favorite quote from JS Online (...so far), "Hope Favre drives Chilly to the Airport. It's only fair." Boz _____________________________________________ Da Pack! Damn I got a hankerin' for a little b'ar meat. *rubs gut* Aw well, let's gnaw on a little bird gristle fust. MMMnngnnmm. good. VLomBradi _____________________________________________ Favre has turned into quite the coach killer-first, Mangini and now, Chilly. In both cases, those teams would have been better off firing the quarterback. Oh wait--the Jets did that, too. Doesn't seem to be hurting THEM..... Childress signed his death warrant the day he decided to sell his soul and play by "The Favre Rules." 4 went north, walked into a talented locker room, and in just over a year-and-a-half, sowed his peculiar destructive seeds all over, killing both a coach and a team. Anyone still think Thompson and McCarthy made a mistake in letting that giant, uncontrolled ego leave town? Ray66 _____________________________________________ Yeah I'll say the Pack have gotten a lot of incompetent coaches fired. Mike McCarthy will go too after the Bears come up there on January 2nd and win 45-3. gUrt _____________________________________________ No surprise there. The moment that game was over I said to myself "Goodbye, Chilly." Leslie Frazier's first order of business will almost certainly be to bench the old guy and put in T-Jack, which is what any sane coach would do. Mike _____________________________________________ I watched the NFl pre game video on the Packer/Queens game today. They showed a lot of film from the first game. In one shot the showed a GB fan unfurling a professionaly done banner, it said "Thanks for all the memories, we'll never forget you Bert" I about wet myself laughing. It was such a great game yesterday, they wooped them so good they fired their coach. I guess Mike Singletary might as well get his resignation written up now too. Tom R - Albuquerque Packer fan _____________________________________________ Big News...Childress is out. Just found out 12 minutes ago...Favre will be next as he "re-evaluates" his situation. He is next to hit the road!!! Pack Fan loving the drama up here in MN. Did anyone read the pathetic Bears writer who thinks his B team will win out the season? Miami with a 3rd string quarter back is not quite the contest to gauge...I can't wait for December to come around and the Pack is in the lead in the division and then we get to beat down on the pathetic no offense bears who still suck!!! Loving it up here in MN...Bye Queens will be worse then Detroit by end of the season....Ha Ha Ha Bring on Atlanta now KevPack in MN Hey KevPack, I saw that article, duh Bears fan could barely put 2 thoughts together... and none were coherent. The Gist: cuz duh Bears beat the Pack earlier this year, no way there's anything the Pack can do to catch duh Bears who hold all the tie-breakers. Yeah, incoherent doesn't describe it accurately. Go Pack Go! BK _____________________________________________Packers got to start to put on the brakes in these runaway games. Incompetent coaches are hard to come by. We need to do what we have too to keep then in place. Jim _____________________________________________ |

Speak Out Spew Off...
______________________________________Here's the link to the NFL flex schedule rules that started last week (NFL week 11). I do not like flex scheduling. Not sure if they'd "flex" one of the remaining Packer games or not. http://www.nfl.com/schedules/tv/flexible Nice articles from Tausch, thanks Chica#66 Boz Hey Boz, several weeks ago FOX locked down last week's Pack-Viking game and the upcoming Packers-Giants game as their own. Seeing they (the NFL powers that be) passed on the Packers-Falcons game as a potential, it really only leaves the Packers-Bears game the last week of the year as a candidate, but then, there is no Sunday night game that last week, so maybe the Packers-Bears gets moved to an afternoon slot if at all. So it's unlikely that any remaining Packers games will be flexed. BK ______________________________________ I hope everyone enjoyed Thursday. Can anyone explain why the NFL allows the Lions to embarrass themselves on national TV every year? They haven't won on Turkey Day since 2003 when they beat...GB. That was a bad day; Brett hocked three interceptions. Luckily the Pack avenged that by winning two Thanksgiving games over Detroit since then. Clay the Barbarian Hey Clay the Barbarian, actually this time, the Lions made it all the way to the 4th Qtr before collapsing in defeat. Some of these coaches may be gone before the Packers get a chance to play their teams. Thinking of you Schwartz and Singletary. Both Phillips and Childress got the owner's seal of approval and will coach the rest of the year mantra right up until the minute they were gone. Yesterday's Entertainment Brought To You By....
Stone Brewery and It's Fine Products
Thank you Stone Brewery! Game Day at Packer Palace HQ got off to a fantastic start, 10am PST, with the opening of a large bottle of Stone's Lukcy Basartd (Lucky Bastard) Ale. Very nice, excellent on the palate, as it should be when a brew is being consumed for breakfast. It's a specialty blend, OK let's use their words, a triumvirate blend of Arrogant Bastard Ale (another large bottle quaffed at HQ during the game), Oaked Arrogant Bastard Ale, and Double Bastard Ale. Inspiring choice for a Sunday Morning Ritual. Concluding the day with the removal from the 6-pack of several bottles of the Ruination IPA (sandwiched around the quaffing of the Arrogant Bastard Ale) and well, throw in some Spicy-Thai and/or Jalapeno kettle chips and despite the TV play on the field, BeerScout and I were successful on Packers Game Day. Much of that credit goes to San Diego's Stone Brewery and their bevy of mighty fine products. Packers Lose 17-20, 2nd Place NFC North...
The Green Bay Packers lose a close one, marred by a few mistakes too many, and fall in defeat to the Atlanta Falcons, who win 20-17 at home in their dome. A tight game, but when you throw in the lame-slide by QB Aaron Rodgers for the non-first down on the opening series, with DB Charles Woodson 5 yard penalty for a Falcon 1st down, add in a missed chance at a Replay by coach Mike McCarthy, to hold Atlanta on a 4th down pass, the ultimate killer fumble on a goal line sneak by Rodgers, and well sorry to say, you can beat teams like the Vikings that way, but the Packers won't be beating any playoff bound teams when it matters and the Falcons drove that point home. So it's hard to be upset, beyond disappointed for sure, the game was there for the taking, but this fan is not really upset. The Packers had a chance to beat a better team, actually made fewer key mistakes then usual, but yet it was still too many mistakes to beat a better team that made very few of their own. The season goes on, the Pack will catch duh Bears in the next few weeks and be tied for 1st place in the NFC North, which should then set-up the winner-take-all game at the end of the season. Even with the loss, the NFL can still have some beauty in the eye of this fanatic beholder. BeerKid - Always Pack 4 Life! |

________________________________________________ Make that 2 stupid QB sneak calls. After the second, Mcfatty could be seen mouthing "WOW" on the side line. How many times this season have we had the goal-to-go & MM calls the play right up the middle? Sucess Rate? Point diff it has cost us? Lastly, note to Special teams - Squib or kick out of bounds. I know we have a lot on fresh faces on S.T, but your in the NFL for ***st sake!! KurtMc ________________________________________________ Everything I would have said has already been said................ san francisco at Lambeau should be good for a morale boost! I gotta tell ya, it's been 14 months without a drink....... fumble at the 1 yd. line and endangering Rodgers (Kuhn on the fb give maybe??) can't get one yard on another 4th down, no challenge on the 4th and 3 dropped pass, running the ball out from the back of the endzone on kick returns, personal foul on the last atl. drive.......... if I wasn't driving sunday you can bet I would have had a few shots of power and sons and more than a few belhaven ales.......... fortunately I can still remember the 70's and 80's so 7-4 is not going to kill me! Bring on singlefairy and the vaginers........ GO PACK!!!!!!! Vikingcrusher________________________________________________ Oh well, Atlanta was a tough opponent, so there's no shame in being beaten by the best. It was lame to have Bears and Vikings trolls taking shots at us though, especially when the latter are looking at a 5-11 season. We can always take it out on SF and their former Bear coach. Clay the Barbarian ________________________________________________ Brett the Trojan Horse - The truth can now be told to the Packer nation. After spending a season with the Jets to build up street cred, Brett Favre was brought in last year as a trojan horse to infiltrate the Minnesota Vikings. His directive was to disrupt their organization and fans from the inside. Last season's mission was to carry the Vikings to the brink of the Super Bowl and then break their hearts. He succeeded in his mission. The Viking organization begged him to come back so this season the game plan was different. The mission was to create dissension, drive the team into the ground and get Coach Childress fired. Randy Moss was brought in to divert any suspicion. Brett Favre again succeeded in his mission. The results exceeded all expectations. Thank you Brett! #66 Chica ________________________________________________ You're right the Pack aren't going 13-3. They did it in 2007, but guess where two of those three losses came from? Anyway, bird hunting was fun, but now we're going to put on our safari gear and bag a few lions. gUrt ________________________________________________ It's tough to win when your coach is trying to sabotage the team. Two blown challenges by McCarthy, continually giving the ball to Jackson the zero gain wonder. Still we almost won despite that...the bonehead face mask on special teams sealed our fate. Hope the Bears lose. E Gunn ________________________________________________ Well, we're not going 13-3. Can somebody please step up and beat Chicago? And can we just take the QB sneak out of the playbook? Are we just going to keep doing it until Rodgers gets his neck broken? Running your franchise guy into the middle of the line is ridiculous. Christ, he got nailed in the head against Washington, and yesterday he hurt his wrist. It was a great game, and it proves we can hang with anybody in the NFC. But McCarthy gets the birdshit award of the week for that stupid QB sneak and the non-challenge on the 4th down play. I wonder if anybody else on this blog will have anything to say about MM this week.... Ruppert ________________________________________________ Heh, Dead Birds Roasting. Looks like the birds made a grilled cheese sandwich. We on the other hand had a lovely day of bird hunting. gUrt Hey gUrt, duh Bears can relax, their safely out of the woods, nobody but us Packers standing behind your back, relax, take it easy, go to sleep, nothing to worry about... hush, shhhhh! BK ________________________________________________ Did Rodgers not see the Baltimore vs. ATL game? With 1:05 left, Matt Ryan let the Falcons 80 yards for the game winning TD. Rodgers gave Ryan 1:06 to lead his team into range for a game winning field goal. Rodgers mishandled the game clock and his team lost. This loss is on Rodgers. Adam ________________________________________________ Dear Village Idiot... Can we get a running back and where the Fuck was Kuhn earlier in the game today??? The difference was the ass n nine call of Aaron going up the middle in the red zone and coughing up the ball and the lack of a running game against the F'n Dirty Birds. And could we have told Shields to take a fucking knee when deep in the end zone during a kick off return??? I think Slocum needs his FUCKING head examined...again. PACKER PAUL - Minneapolis, MN.

It would seem to make sense. #66 Chica ________________________________________________ |
