Spew Off Speak Out...
| If any of you missed the former QB of the Pack being interviewed by some baseball guy on HBO last night.... you can find an abbreviated summary from Aaron Wilson over at PFT - Favre: "My Intentions Are Not To Create Controversy" and the almost complete transcript over at the Insiders Blog at Press Gazette/PackerNews.com - The Expanded Brett Favre Transcript. I'm only going to say that for BF to compare his quitting on two teams to Vincent Lombardi actually retiring for a year as a coach, he was the Packers GM his last year in Green Bay, and then going on to resume his football career as the head coach of the Washington Redskins before succumbing to cancer really shows what a classless act BF has become. Now for my prediction... with BF on the Vikings there is no way that the Fat DT Williams Brothers will be suspended by the NFL. There is absolutely no way that the NFL Commish will allow the new feel good story of the year to be overshadowed by actually suspending those two for violating the CBA, besides, if BF is truly on the Vikes, no Judge in Minnesota will allow their Super Bowl pending season to crash without a major fight. Just a prediction... Lastly, a simple thanks to Packer Paul, Jim, Boz and everyone else who contributes to Packer Palace, we love you all. BeerKid - Still Pack 4 Life! | ![]() Sent in to Packer Palace last summer via Packer Paul via a Vikqueen Fan who emailed it to him... It's another cheap laugh at BF's expense. |
| _____________________________________ We should all get the feeling now that BF absolutely doesn't give a shit about the Packer fans who adored him for years. He's out there just buttf**king us daily as he spews his stuff over the airwaves. I am very tired of seeing the name "favre" everywhere. He knows that people want him to succeed. He knows that we want to believe him, so it's OK to lie like a dog. We Packer fans will find a way to believe him. However you feel about TT is not an issue. It's time the we took BF off the pedestal and looked at him without Rose colored glasses. He really isn't as pretty as we think. fbg3 _____________________________________Not wanting to miss out on a golden marketing opportunity, The Vikings Pro Shop introduced the "Favre-Watch Wing in a Sling Favrey". Order yours TODAY!!! Jim I must say Jim, you keep piling on with the funny images. Awesome stuff you keep tucked away over at the National Parody League. I think this one with Stewie is a great one too... "It's football, it's not life or death? We'll see..." BK _____________________________________ I don't know if I hate Favre or if I think he is a prima donna. All I know is my gut feeling is that this could all end bad. While all the NFL Live experts are in love with him and are already giving the Queens a Lombardi trophy, I'm a realist. He's almost 40 playing sixteen weeks of football against the leagues toughest defenses, I don't know, I'm just saying he might regret this decision and go crawling back to Mississippi with his shreaded pride, and ruined ego and realize that this wasn't such a good idea after all. Somebody in his life needs to pull him aside and stop him. Nobody will. He will be a 50 year old former great who's mangled body we will be seeing on TV, crying about how he's physically unable do take a crap anymore thanks to football. Favre save yourself now, I beg of you. Save yourself the embarrassment of getting killed week after week and losing what little respect you have from your fans. Save yourself from the boos you will get when your 75 and come back to Lambeau for that reluctant number retirement. QUIT WHILE YOU ARE AHEAD. Jared S _____________________________________ BeerKid - Where do you get the Brent shirt? Incredibly funny!! I have to be wearing one at my fantasy draft. Salt Lake Cheese Hey Salt Lake Cheese, here ya' go: http://sconnie.com/view_item&id=137 is the place to buy one... thanks goes to D for following through and letting all of us know where he found the t-shirt. Hey Salt Lake Cheese, it was forwarded around (scroll down a few times to view) a bit before Boz sent it in, you would think that it's from last year when BF joined the Jets so... yes it's funny and it's a burning question for several people today. Here's a link that says her BIL(?) created these t-shirts last year - knitorious.typepad.com/knitorious/2008/09/well-never-forg.html - and a link from As Seen In Wisconsin - www.asseeninwi.com/well-never-forget-you-brent-favre - and another modified one as a desktop wallpaper - www.asseeninwi.com/well-never-forget-you-brent-favre-desktop. BK _____________________________________I propose that Lambeau Field decorates their toilet paper with #4 embroidery this coming season. nick sl _____________________________________ That "we" crap really pissed me off..... your DEAD to me Brett. JONNY C WOW! Jonny, you would be the last person I'd expect to say that... but then I suppose you are like most of us, it's one thing for BF to play for the Jets, quite another to purposely want to go to your teams hated rival. BK _____________________________________ Isn't there an interviewer on earth who can ask Favre some tough questions???? I wonder if Brett makes them show him the lists of questions before the interview... Why bother to lie about whether you told the Packers you wanted back then changed your mind? Or, Why do you think your buddy Mooch should get hired as coach even though he SUCKS? Or Why do you think you need to be GM, too, acquiring players? Or, why make a point to say in your Jets retirement presser that you WEREN'T asking for a release, when you obvious were going to do just that in another 2 months? Somebody question this guy's motives, please...don't just humor Favre the cash cow. Can't wait to see the draq queens crumble with a 40 year old drama queen QB who has a 76 QB rating in playoff games since SB XXXII. Can't blame them for signing Mr. Popularity, though, since they can't even sell out a football game. Ruppert _____________________________________ If only Favre hadn't thrown that interception two years ago....This hurts. The "we" comments hurts. Anger & revenge is not healthy. We'll see if the Viqueens can stomach the interceptions as easily as Pack fans....Favre will want to "put it to TT and the Pack" so bad that he will forget he has a running back and use his surgically gunslinger arm and throw and throw and throw and the Pack will score, and score and score! Go Pack Go! KS Packer Backer _____________________________________ I am thankful for all the fond memories Favre gave to us Packers fans over the years but if/once he puts on the goldy locks and daisy dukes of the Queens I say take his &$%#*!@ head off. Go Pack Go! Packer Backer in Big D _____________________________________ That shirt is LEGENDARY!!!!I can't wait for the season to start! GO PACK GO!!! Big Ern said so!!!! _____________________________________ BeerKid, you made me laugh out loud with the Brent thing. Maybe instead of burning my pile of Favre stuff I can just stick a "Brent" sticker over all of it and maybe put a stick of Bart Starr's face over Brett's. That might make me feel better and not have to have a bonfire. foundinidaho Hey foundinidaho, all credit goes to Boz for forwarding in the image... it was easy laugh-out-loud moment. BK _____________________________________ I'm getting my tickets to vikings vs browns. opening day. Go Favre!!! Good luck Packers. favrefan4ever Hey favrefan4ever.... have fun on opening weekend, nobody here cares... BK _____________________________________ Exclusive: Overseas Sweatshops Humming... ![]() Since Vikqueens fans are already dressing like a certain popular dinosaur, the folks in the Twin Cities think this new Pro Shop item is the perfect fit. Jim Hey Jim, thanks for the all the pics, they're being hoarded for later use... BK _____________________________________ Who the hell is this "favre" dude everyones talkin' about?!? All I know is The b*@rs still suck!!! And the beer will be just cold enough come Sept!!! GO PACK GO!!! and go brent favre who ever you are! Big Ern said so!!!! _____________________________________ |

Speak Out Spew Off...
| Here's something of interest I ran across a few days ago from Real Scouts over at The Sporting News... Best of the best: NFL's top 25 players for '09 and although there's no Packers on the top-25, they do have the breakdown's for the top-20 at each position. You can find the individual links for each position along the article's left column as you scroll down. Head coach Mike McCarthy is 16th, defensive coordinator Dom Capers is rated 5th, with offensive coordinator Joe Philbin also at 16th. Last year, the Packers offense finished 5th in points, and 8th in yards per game and the Packers defense finished 22nd in points allowed, and 20th in points per game. Packers players listed on offense: QB Aaron Rodgers - 14th, RB Ryan Grant - 18th, WR Greg Jennings - 9th, WR Donald Driver - 13th, and T Chad Clifton - 11th.Packers players listed on defense: CB Charles Woodson - 14th, CB Al Harris - 18th, S Nick Collins - 6th, DE Cullen Jenkins - 18th, OLB Aaron Kampman - 11th, ILB Nick Barnett - 17th and ILB A.J. Hawk - 13th. No special teams players made the top-10 list at their positions. Enjoy the weekend - Drink in heavy moderation. Viva Los Packers!!! BeerKid - Still Pack 4 Life! |

If you're looking for some news on the Packers OTA's... just head on over to CheeseHead TV for some actual video highlights of the practice actions.http://cheeseheadtv.com/blog/video-highlights-from-packer-otas http://cheeseheadtv.com/blog/wednesday-practice-video ...and then head on over to PackerNet's article page for some of the written articles on the OTA's. It's where I start my morning surfing for Packers News... http://www.packernet.com/articles.php This is a pretty interesting article I found over at Bleacher Report, on just how rare it is to find a starting QB in this league, and why GM Ted Thompson was almost forced to draft Aaron Rodgers when other needs were supposed to be addressed at the time. It's not too long and it's over-generalized on it's points, but worth the read even though it's scattered across 10 pages.... just keeping clicking "next". Young Green Bay Packer Fans Need History Lesson And Reality Check ...and don't forget that Cheesehead TV with Packers Lounge is having another of their Friday Night Live Blog Big Events - http://cheeseheadtv.com/blog/live - at 8pm CST, make sure to stop by just to lurk or feel free to participate. Spew Off Speak Out... It's The OTA's
| I don't know about any of you... but all I got out of the Packers OTA's recently was that Allen Barbre is working out primarily as the new Right Tackle. Last year's draft pick OLB Jeremy Thompson is apparently adapting well to the 3-4 defense and former DE and now OLB Aaron Kampman won't talk to the media. The speculation ranges from the "he's not adapting well" and "looks stiff" in these OTA's to "he's just annoyed with all the media..." angle to the his silence. I'm just going to pop another beer and move right along... to "wanna be back in the news" Fran Tarkenton. I don't need some vikqueen scrub who's 0-4 in Super Bowls to tell me how much my former beloved QB should play or not play, for who or not for whom, and frankly, if Brett Favre can still whing the ball around like early last year, more power to him. Play for the Vikes. Please...... and "twinkletoes" can go back to staring at his 1 NFL Championship ring... which was eventually their 1st Super Bowl loss so it doesn't really count as a champion-anything. Bwa hahahaha hahahahah bwah hah-hahahah ha ha haaaaaaa.... eh. BeerKid - Always Pack For Life! |
